Thurman Thomas at The College at Brockport
Hall of Famer to Speak September 9
Brockport, NY – Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas will speak at the College at Brockport on Tuesday, September 9, at 9 pm, in the Seymour College Union Ballroom.
Thomas will give a talk, answer questions and be available to sign memorabilia brought to the event. Admission is free for The College at Brockport students and $15 for all others.
The smallest player on the Willowridge High School team in Houston, Texas; Thomas was drafted in the second round of the 1988 NFL Draft, following an outstanding collegiate career at Oklahoma State University. He played for the Buffalo Bills for 12 years (1988-99) and was a 5-time Pro Bowl selection and made four straight Super Bowl appearances.
He set a NFL record when he led the league in combined yards from scrimmage for four consecutive seasons (1989-92). He also rushed for 11,938 yards, caught 456 passes and scored 87 touchdowns.
Thomas was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2007.
