Pollster John Zogby Kicks Off Business Briefings Series with Election Discussion
John Zogby speaks to business leaders at the College's MetroCenter.
BROCKPORT, NY – John Zogby, founder, president and CEO of Zogby International, gave an impassioned start to the College at Brockport, State University of New York’s Business Briefings Speakers Series. Zogby discussed the upcoming presidential election, saying, “This may be and probably is the most important election in our lifetime.”
Approximately 70 local business leaders attended the event, which was held in the Grand Atrium of The College at Brockport MetroCenter, 55 St Paul St.
In addition to describing potential scenarios for the pending election, Zogby entertained attendees with the philosophy behind his polling organization and convincingly placed the country’s current political environment in a historical context.
Zogby is recognized as a national leader in the area of political polling. He also is a senior advisor at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a senior fellow at The Catholic University of America’s Life Cycle Institute.
The College at Brockport Business Briefings Series, hosted by College President John R. Halstead, was established to build a network among leaders from Western New York, Greater Rochester and The College at Brockport to discuss issues, challenges and opportunities facing the region.

• Jean-Claude Brizard, superintendent of schools for the Rochester City School District, on November 13, 2008.
All Business Briefings events are free and open to the public.
