Brockport, NY – The College at Brockport’s men’s basketball claimed the championship title at the Casa Mia Holiday Tournament on January 4, upsetting DeSales University with a 61 – 49 victory. This was the first loss for DeSales University this season (9-1), which is ranked #25 in the latest www.D3Hoops.com poll.
Ian Mack, a senior from Liverpool, NY, was named the Casa Mia Holiday Tournament MVP, with 10 points, six assists and two steals. Senior Eamon Kays of Mexico, NY, was voted to the All-Tournament team after scoring 13 points and grabbing six rebounds. Read more game stats.
“The team got off to a slow start this season as compared to recent years,” said Head Coach Greg Dunne. “Winning this tournament against the #25 ranked team on its home court makes this one of our bigger regular season road victories.”
The Golden Eagles have a 3-4 record so far this season.
