International Festival Highlights Diversity

Students Jason Aryeh and Keyerra Charles perform a modern dance with an African theme

The International Festival at Seymour Union Ballroom was the place to be seen on Thursday (March 26). All the major continents were there… Africa, the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia. Only Antarctica failed to show.

Expertly MCd by Aysha Harrop (Guyana) and Slav Kruzement-Prykhodko (Ukraine) the audience of faculty, staff, students, and friends enjoyed a program of singing, dancing, and poetry before sampling a seven-course international menu. A silent auction benefitting the Brockport International Student Organization concluded the evening.

The event was sponsored by the Brockport International Student Organization, Brockport Student Government, the College-wide Diversity Committee, the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, and the Office of Leadership and Community Development.
