The Department of Military Science honored current cadets in the College’s Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Freedom Eagles Battalion at the department's annual Leadership Awards Ceremony on April 9 at 3 pm.
After remarks from Lieutenant Colonel William S. Cragg and President John R. Halstead, the cadets were honored with national awards for service, academics, and physical fitness from The American Legion, AMVETS, Association of the United States Army, Daughters of the American Revolution, The Daughters of Founders and Patriots of America, Military Order of World Wars, The National Sojourners, Reserve Officer’s Association, Military Officers Association of America, Society of the War of 1812, Sons of the American Revolution, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
A reception for family, friends and the College community followed the ceremony.
The Freedom Eagles Battalion will hold its Commissioning Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, during Commencement Weekend on The College at Brockport campus.
