The College at Brockport and surrounding community celebrated the 2nd annual Brockport Jazz Day with the Dave Rivello Ensemble.

The leader of a 12�member big band, Rivello features his own compositions, which evoke a unique blend of jazz tradition, modern classical music and improvisation. He and his band began the day with a morning symposium on the Mainstage of the Tower Fine Arts Center where he discussed aspects of his creative process, while his band turning the discussion into musical illustrations.

In the afternoon, Rivello hosted a something-for-everyone Jam Session/Master Class/Pizza Party in the Seymour Union Lounge, featuring jazz standards and tasty improvisations.

Jazz Day concludes with the Rivello Ensemble in concert at the Tower Fine Arts Center Mainstage at 7:30 pm.
