Brockport families enjoyed events around campus all weekend.
The Office of Alumni Relations and the Brockport Alumni Association honored current alumni scholarship recipients at a reception on Friday.
President and Mrs. Halstead and their daughter, Christine, welcomed families to the President's residence for breakfast.
The Golden Eagles took on SUNY Cortland in their last home game of the season in the New Jersey Athletic Conference.
The Autumn a la Mode event, featured ice cream, apple crisp, and a social for families to get to know each other.
The Stuff-a-Bear event is popular each year during Family Weekend.
Brockport, NY—More than 270 College at Brockport, State University of New York, families enjoyed a variety of events on campus during Family Weekend, November 6–8.
A scholarship reception, sponsored by the Office of Alumni Relations and the Brockport Alumni Association, was held for current alumni scholarship recipients on Friday evening. And, the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra entertained families at a concert featuring works by Sousa, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky.
On Saturday morning, President and Mrs. Halstead hosted a breakfast at their residence for students and families. Saturday afternoon, the Office of Alumni Relations held a legacy reception for current students with family members who are College at Brockport alumni. Saturday also featured a panel discussion about the College’s Study Abroad Program, autumn-themed ice cream social, and football and hockey games. On Saturday evening, the College turned one of its parking lots into a drive-in movie for a screening of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, complete with costumed staff who delivered movie munchies to students and their families.
Other highlights of Family Weekend included an art exhibit, Rock ‘n Bowl at Brockport Bowl and many opportunities for students, families, and alumni to socialize with one another.
