“Tom and Christina exemplify the true Division III student-athlete,” said Linda Case, director of athletics at The College at Brockport. “They have both excelled in the classroom and in their sport. The College at Brockport is proud to have two such outstanding scholar-athletes.”
This year, Chancellor Zimpher honored 75 students from across the SUNY system.
“As we approach the end of the academic year, I have the pleasure of honoring many SUNY students and faculty for their hard-earned achievements,” said Chancellor Zimpher. “The SUNY scholar athletes’ accomplishments are indeed impressive, as they have excelled in our classrooms and in our athletic programs. With an average GPA of 3.63 and a number of championship competitions among them, this year’s scholar athlete awardees are to be commended.”
Scholar Athletes are selected by the Athletic Directors at each level of play and are limited to student-athletes that advance to conference, region or national championship competition as well as the All-SUNYAC squads for their particular sport.
