BROCKPORT, NY—The College at Brockport, State University of New York, is again ranked among the top colleges and universities in the northern region in the annual US News & World Report’s, “America’s Best Colleges” guide. Brockport is ranked 68th in the magazine’s soon-to-be-released rankings.
“We are honored to have again been recognized for excellence in the US News & World Report’s rankings,” says Brockport President John R. Halstead, PhD. “This national recognition is a reflection of the great work that is done on a daily basis by our students, faculty, and staff and the College’s commitment to student success.”
Brockport earned its first ranking in the 2007 edition.
The rankings are tabulated based on an array of criteria, including graduation rates, percentage of alumni who donate to their alma maters, the school’s reputation among peers and the academic profile of incoming students.
Brockport is one of nine SUNY schools listed in the rankings.
“We are delighted to see so many SUNY schools ranked among the nation’s 'Best Colleges' by U.S. News & World Report again this year,” said SUNY Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher. “In New York, Governor Cuomo and our public colleges have worked very hard to provide an education of the highest quality that is both affordable and accessible. Today’s rankings are a testament to our success and to the outstanding quality of our campuses throughout New York State.”
The complete rankings are available online and in the October issue of US News & World Report.
