BROCKPORT, NY—A successful alumnus of The College at Brockport, State University of New York, is returning to campus Sept. 13 to deliver The School of Business Administration and Economic’s Dean’s Entrepreneurship Lecture.
Paul Auersperg, chief executive officer of Fortune Footwear, will share his knowledge and expertise on leading a highly successful global company with customers around the world. The lecture takes place at 12:30 pm in the Seymour Union Ballroom. Fortune Footwear is a leading global company that is doing business in Europe and Asia. It creates hundred of innovative women’s shoe and handbag designs each year, which are manufactured in Northern and Southern China.
Auersperg’s father, John H. Auersperg, founded the company in 1985. Its clients include catalog companies, retail chains, shopping networks and branded and celebrity buyers. Paul Auersperg joined the company in 1987 and has served in a number of capacities. He started in sales in 1987, began to lead product development for its women’s division in 1994, became president in 1998 and took over as CEO in 2006.
