Brockport, NY – Harpist Kathryn Float will be the guest at the next Music at Noon concert at The College at Brockport. The performance will take place at 12:15 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 in the atrium of the College’s Drake Memorial Library. The concert is free and open to the public. Float, who is a student at the Eastman School of Music, will be playing a wide range of repertoire on her concert harp. Her program includes a harp sonata by Peggy Glanville-Hicks, a rhapsody, other classical works as well as some Spanish folk songs and other popular songs. She plans on showing the intricacies of her instrument to audience members because, as she says, “everyone is always fascinated by harps.”
Parking for off-campus visitors is available in Lot V, near the Library, on New Campus Drive. Parking permits are available for $4 at the Raye H. Conrad Welcome Center, at the corner of New Campus and Commencement Drives. Please call (585) 395-2787 for additional information.
