Did you know that a group of College at Brockport students are documenting their experiences on a blog? Winging It, the College’s WordPress blog, is still a baby at just over a year old, but it’s packed with fun stories and videos that display the true Brockport experience. For prospective and current students alike, Winging It is a fun and informative resource.
The posts range from personal anecdotes of procrastination to packing tutorials for new students. Winging It also informs readers about on-campus events. The blog’s videos highlight topics that most affect incoming students and provide a raw view of the Brockport campus. Each post is insightful and entertaining, but the best part of Winging It is its bloggers, all of whom are Brockport students. Winging It features nine bloggers from various class years.
The group is made up of mostly freshmen, but there are a few upperclassmen who lend their growing Brockport wisdom to the blog. Winging It consists of freshmen Katelynn Groh, Missy Fischer, Madeline Allen, Caitlyn Carson and Jacob Jackson; juniors Emily Derrenbacher and Chris Dailey; and seniors Michele Pettis and Allie Donovan. The group is also academically diverse, with majors ranging from business administration to meteorology.
Winging It is a great representation of The College at Brockport and a valuable resource for prospective students. The bloggers recently hosted a live online chat. If you couldn't join us for the chat live, you can read a transcript. Also be sure to visit the blog and check back often for updates.
