Brockport Supports President Obama's Vision for Higher Education

A statement from President John R. Halstead

Brockport President John R. Halstead, PhD, was in Buffalo Aug. 22 to hear President Barack Obama speak about his vision for higher education in the United States. Halstead issued the following statement:

"How gratifying it was to be in Buffalo to personally hear President Obama open his speech by saying that higher education is the most important investment a student can make. His three-pronged agenda for making college more affordable dovetails well with what The College at Brockport and SUNY do every day. Rating institutions based on actual outcomes, results and opportunities will offer vital information for parents and students to make the best informed college choice."
