Heather Gallant, Mary Jo Orzech, Bob Cushman, and Pat Maxwell accept the GREAT Award on Wojcik's behalf.
BROCKPORT, NY—Digital Rochester, a professional organization that works to strengthen the technological community in Greater Rochester, has honored Frank Wojcik of The College at Brockport, State University of New York, with one of its GREAT awards.
Wojcik, Brockport’s Associate Provost for Library, Information and Technology Services (LITS), was presented with the organization’s Visionary Leadership Award. The award provides recognition to an individual who takes it upon themselves to instill their vision, providing the inspiration and motivation that compels an organization to take dramatic steps in applying innovative technology in any given field that resulted in increased productivity, efficiency or business success.
Wojcik demonstrated a number of measureable leadership results, including the successful implementation of projects and initiatives such as Digital Commons, classroom updates, FootPrints Helpdesk software, Ellucian enhancements, scheduled hardware refresh cycle, webpage updates, VDI implementation, PaperCuts print management software, Digital Measures, Kaltura video streaming, Echo 360 lecture capture, and many other endeavors.
“I very much appreciate the award, but I view it as a LITS award that recognizes the vision, energy, collaborative spirit, and skill that our staff bring to the workplace,” Wojcik says.
