BROCKPORT, NY—The School of Business Administration & Economics at The College at Brockport, State University of New York, has been re-accredited by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. It is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.
“It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students.”
Daniel Petree, PhD, dean of Brockport’s School of Business Administration & Economics says the re-accreditation provides external validation of the great work done within the school on a daily basis.
“The students, faculty, and staff of the School of Business Administration and Economics expect the best from ourselves and each other every day. It’s in our DNA,” Petree said. “To earn recognition from our peers as among the best in the world is very gratifying. My thanks and admiration to all members of the School and College who worked so hard to make this accomplishment possible.”
Brockport first gained AACSB accreditation in 2002.
