BROCKPORT, NY—The College at Brockport, State University of New York, will offer a five-week summer program that will strengthen literacy among area youth. The course, Exploring Digital, Visual and Media Literacy, is specifically designed to support and enhance the literacy development of students between the ages of 13 and 18.
Student will work individually with two Brockport graduate students who are certified teachers and are completing their master’s degree in the literacy education program offered by Brockport’s Department of Education and Human Development.
The course will be offered from Monday through Thursday from 10:30-11:45 am between July 9 and August 6. There is a $65 participation fee. Scholarships are available. Those interested should contact Laurie Downey at 585-395-2205 option 1 or email@example.com.
