Brockport, N.Y. — The State University of New York College at Brockport is one of the Northeast’s best colleges and best values according to the latest editions of Best Colleges in the Northeast and America’s Best Value Colleges published by The Princeton Review. SUNY Brockport was included among 61 colleges in New York State and 224 colleges in the Northeast (11 states, plus the District of Columbia) included in the publication. “I’m pleased that the Princeton Review shares my opinion of SUNY Brockport. I think any high school or community college student taking a close look at all we offer would be similarly impressed,” said John R. Halstead, SUNY Brockport president.
According to the Princeton Review Web site, “Our goal is simple: to identify some of the colleges and universities that we feel stand out within each region (and) colleges designated as one of the best overall bargains—based on cost and financial aid—among the most academically outstanding colleges in the nation.” Review information included a list of popular majors, along with additional information about admissions, academics, financial aid options, extracurricular and campus life. More information about SUNY Brockport is available at the College’s Web site, www.brockport.edu or at the Princeton Review Web site, www.princetonreview.com. The Princeton Review's Best Colleges in the Northeast, is one of about 200 Princeton Review books published annually by Random House, including the company's annual ranking lists of top 20 colleges in more than 60 categories, ranging from best campus food to best academics to best administered. ###
