Annette Bovenzi grew up in Rochester New York. She graduated in 1966 from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing with a diploma in nursing and passed her RN boards that year. She worked as a staff nurse and Head nurse at St. Marys Hospital and Strong Memorial Hospital for ten years while raising a family and graduated from The College at Brockport School of Nursing with B.S.N. in 1976. This was the first year Brockport offered an R.N. to B.S.N. program. Annette worked at Parkridge Hospital for the next twenty years as a nursing supervisor and graduated in 1996 from St. John Fisher School of Nursing with an MSN. That year she was named the hospital's Nurse of Distinction and started working as an adjunct faculty for nursing department at The College at Brockport. She teaches clinical to the junior nursing students and is the supervisor for care management at Unity Hospital. Annette has five children and seven grandchildren in five different states so traveling is her favorite past time.
