Constance F. Lawrence RN, MS, FNP-C

cflawren@brockport.edu

Mrs. Lawrence earned her associates degree in nursing from Ulster County Community College in 1986. At the time, she was working as a nursing assistant in a long-term care facility. After graduation she worked on a medical-surgical/neurosurgical and pediatric unit. Along with this she worked providing home care for special needs pediatric patients. Several years after graduation, Connie moved to the Rochester area and began working in a local emergency department, and pursued certification as an emergency nurse (CEN). Once settled in the area she enrolled in the RN to BSN program at the State University of New York College at Brockport. After several years of ED work, she began to diversify and started work at a local community health agency. In 1999, when the College at Brockport Family Nurse Practitioner program began Mrs. Lawrence enrolled as member of the first class, and is proud to say that she was one of the six program graduates two years later. Since graduating, Ms. Lawrence has worked as a family nurse practitioner at St. Mary’s walk-in-care center and fulfilled a variety of faculty rolls in the nursing program. She is married, loves cats, enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews, and has many hobbies. Among them are skiing, scuba diving, biking, motor cycle riding, cooking and jewelry making.
