Ms. Farnham graduated Magna Cum Laude from D'Youville College with her BSN in 1996 and returned to her Alma Mater to earn her Master of Science degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1998. Ms. Farnham completed a Post Master's Certificate in Midwifery through The Midwifery Institute of Philadelphia University in 2003. She has worked full-time as a women's health care provider since 1999. Ms Farnham is nationally certified as a midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) and maintains active membership in the American College of Nurse- Midwives (ACNM) and the New York State Association of Licensed Midwives (NYSALM).
Ms. Farnham joined the faculty at The College at Brockport in 2013 where she serves as a full time Clinical Professor teaching Maternal Child Health Nursing to the junior level and 2nd degree nursing students in both the classroom and clinical settings. Ms. Farnham continues to practice as a Certified Nurse-Midwife part-time with the University of Rochester Midwifery Group. She feels that being a midwife is an amazing, rewarding experience and she is very fortunate to share her knowledge and experience from this field with the students at The College at Brockport.
Ms. Farnham is a Western New York native, born and raised in the Buffalo area. She relocated to Rochester in 2006 with her husband Dan and they have two young children, Parker and Addison who keep them active and brighten each and every day! Outside of teaching and clinical practice Ms. Farnham likes to find time to enjoy cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
