Things to do BEFORE you arrive for Orientation:
- Deposit! The tuition deposit deadline was May 1.
- Reserve your spot ASAP!
- Take the Computer Skills PRACTICE Exam.
- Course registration information is mailed in early May. Return your mail-in course registration information to Freshman Registration by MAY 30. Contact Freshman Registration at 585-395-2314 or by e-mail with questions about the course selection process.
Program cost - students
Fees are due when you make your reservation online. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover.
$145...............Residential Student (includes program participation, meals and overnight accommodations on campus)
$95.................Commuter Student (for students planning to live off campus in the fall - includes program participation and meals)
Program cost - parents, families & guests
$15/person....Parent/Family Program registration (program participation only)
Additional options for families:
$30/person...............Meal ticket (dinner, breakfast & lunch)
$40/person...............Overnight on-campus accommodations in our new townhomes
$30/sibling......Sibling program (program participation and meals)
Additional option for siblings:
$40/sibling................Overnight on-campus accommodations in our new townhomes (siblings must stay with parents/families in the Townhomes)
When and Where to arrive:
Check-in is between 11:30 am and 2 pm. All students and guests can check in at McLean Hall, located on Residence Drive. Parking is available lots O, P, and Q, located directly across the street from McLean Hall. The program begins at 2:15.

Taking a flight?
We provide a free shuttle between the Rochester International Airport* and Campus for orientation! Call us at 585-395-5397 to sign up.
Pickup on day one of each session is at 11 a.m. in front of Jet Blue arrivals. The shuttle will leave campus at 1:15 on day two of each session, arriving at the Airport by 2 p.m. Please plan your flights accordingly.
*This shuttle only runs between the Airport and campus, and will not make any other stops.
What to bring:
- Comfortable shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Pillow and sheets (twin, extra long) or sleeping bag (we do not provide linens)
- Towels and toiletries (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.)
- A fan, if the weather is hot (our residence halls are not air conditioned)
Optional items to include:
- Alarm clock (we do provide wake-up calls)
- Change for the vending machines
- Money for souvenirs at the bookstore
What NOT to bring:
- Your friends
- Alcohol or drugs
- Valuables
- Electronic equipment (I-pods and such)
- Pets
