Transfer Student Details

TRANSFER STUDENTS WITH LESS THAN 24 CREDITS

Students transferring in less than 24 college credits are invited to attend either our SOAR Transfer Program OR the overnight Summer Orientation (recommended).

Eligible students can reserve their spot beginning in mid-April.

At Summer Orientation, you will:

• Receive your fall course schedule
• Receive general academic advisement and one-on-one advisement as needed
• Take the required Computer Skills Exam
• Get your Eagle One Student ID card and set up your Brockport e-mail account
• Navigate through Web Banner, Brockport e-mail and ANGEL (Brockport’s campus information, official communication and course management systems)
• Receive your Summer Reading book
• Learn about opportunities to get involved on campus
• Pre-order your textbooks
• Purchase a parking permit
• Socialize with other transfer students with freshman status
• Learn about various student services
• Take a tour of the campus and a bus tour of the Village of Brockport
• Tie up any loose ends before the start of the fall semester

 

Summer Orientation offers a commuter option for students planning to live off campus in the fall. We also offer family and sibling orientation programs! For specific questions about the Summer Orientation, please contact Andrea Newman at 585-395-5397 or orient@brockport.edu .
