FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) is outlined in The College at Brockport's Student Handbook.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 grants certain rights, privileges and protections to students concerning educational records maintained by the College. The law requires that the institution shall protect the confidentiality of student educational records.
