The Department is also a member of the American Kinesiology Association. For more information on AKA, go to www.americankinesiology.org.
Welcome to The Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education at The College at Brockport! The Department has a long and rich history of producing some of the best sport and physical activity professionals in the country.
Housed in the new School of Health and Human Performance, the department enjoys a strong national reputation and is one of the two largest departments on the Brockport campus. Despite a relatively large population, students receive a great deal of individual attention from award-winning faculty members who offer outstanding teaching, solid advisement, and strong mentoring to create a culture of professionalism in which students thrive.
The academic unit is comprised of five majors, one minor, and two concentrations. I invite you to take some time to read about each of the areas in which you may have an interest. If you have questions, please feel free to call or email me directly or contact any of our coordinators for additional information. You can download our new fact sheet, too.
