The Athletic Administration graduate concentration is designed
to help prepare future athletic administrators within school-based organizations such as public secondary schools, junior/community colleges as well as colleges, and universities. The concentration involves the entire spectrum of management of school-related sports programs including, but not limited to, preparation of athletic directors, assistant or associate athletic directors, sports information directors, as well as sports promoters and fundraisers. The scope includes six credits of core requirements in research, six credits of course work in curriculum and analysis of teaching, 18 credits of concentration course work, which may include a culminating writing project.
