The Kinesiology major and all the concentrations are accredited by Middle States and are approved programs by the NYS Department of Education. In addition, the Teacher Certification concentration is accredited by NCATE and the Athletic Training concentration is accredited by CAATE. Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies and Physical Education (KSSPE)
Certification in Athletic Training

The Board of Certification (BOC) requires that all candidates seeking certification meet the following criteria:
- Successfully complete a CAATE accredited athletic training program
- Complete two years of clinical practical experience (four semesters) under the supervision of a BOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
- Possess current First Aid and CPR/AED (Professional Rescuer).
- Possess a bachelor's degree.
