Department of Kinesiology, Sport Studies, and Physical Education (KSSPE)

Kinesiology

The department offers a kinesiology major in physical education leading to a Bachelor of Science degree. Students complete a kinesiology core which is constructed upon the cornerstones of motor skill and physical fitness.

Students learn the principles of acquiring skill and fitness, seek to improve their own levels of skill and fitness, and learn to appreciate the contributions of skill and fitness to human development. Students also complete a cluster of courses earmarked for professional or personal interest.
