About Sport Management

The Department of Physical Education and Sport offers a sport management concentration to prepare students for careers in profit and non-profit sport, recreation and fitness organizations. A Recreational Setting in Sport Management

Sport Management at SUNY Brockport is one of the oldest undergraduate concentrations in the world, having been initiated in 1972.

Graduates have a thorough foundation in administrative theory, coupled with an extensive array of practical, real-world experiences through various field experiences, research and problem solving opportunities, as well as a full semester long internship in the real world.


When Can A Prospective Student Enter Sport Management?

The prospective student, native or transfer, must declare intent to study sport management when he/she has been accepted into the College. A prospective student may declare intent to pursue sport management upon acceptance into the physical education and sport department.

Sport management is presently a concentration that may be combined with any other major offered at SUNY Brockport
