Career Opportunities

While 50 percent of SUNY Brockport's international studies majors have gone on to graduate school, all international studies graduates are prepared for a wide variety of jobs, including positions with:

Departments and agencies of the United States government, such as those responsible for agriculture, education, energy, health, sports, trade and foreign service.
Transnational public and private organizations, such as multinational corporations, banks, shipping firms, air transportation companies, United Nations agencies, the Red Cross and international labor organizations.
Public-interest organizations, including groups concerned with arms control and disarmament, conservations, energy, the environment and public health.
Local and state governments with "global worries," such as Great Lakes pollution, immigration and international aspects of disease control.
Peace Corps.
Trade associations.
