Pre-Professional Health Facilities
Lennon Hall, housing the Department of Biological Sciences, is newly renovated, and all new research equipment is available. New faculty have joined the department, and they brought new equipment as well.
Smith Hall houses the Departments of Chemistry and Physics. Recent grants have upgraded many of the laboratories with state-of-the-art fluorescence, uv-vis, atomic absorption and mass spectrometers. Facilities for low temperature physics and pulsed and tunable laser are also available. Undergraduates regularly learn to operate these instruments in their course work and in their research.
Every year students have the opportunity to present their research to the college community at our Scholars Day, and they also regularly present at undergraduate symposiums sponsored by local sections of national scientific societies, at the National conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), and at regional and national meetings of national scientific societies.
