H1N1 Response
Fri, Nov 20 6:43 pm H1N1 Update
Visits for ILI dropped today to 5 student. We also are seeing students previously diagnosed with ILI, but who now have ongoing cough and muscle aches. Those recurrent cases are not included in the daily ILI number. ILI cases make up approximately 15 - 20% of daily visits to the Health Center. The ILI cases remain mild to moderate. No particular major or residence hall are affected more than another. Although we think we may be seeing an overall decline in disease rates, this is unpredictable at this point, and the number of cases fluctuates daily. We have been informed by NYS Dept of Health that there is NO expected vaccine delivery for this week. Another vaccine clinic will be held as soon as more vaccine is delivered. Students who have symptoms of fever, cough and/or sore throat are requested to call the Student Health Center at 585.395.2414 to talk with a nurse.
