Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew

What is Late Night with Ellsworth Executive Crew?

The Executive Crew is a student group who plans social events for the Late Night with Ellsworth series. Late Night with Ellsworth (LNwE) is a series of events that take place on Friday and Saturday nights between the hours of 10 PM – 2 AM throughout the semester. Beginning in the Spring 2008 semester, the LNwE series focuses on providing students with a fun and safe alternative to alcohol consumption on the weekends. The Executive Crew spearheads programs of various types (from brainstorming ideas through implementation of the event), approves grant requests for other clubs/organizations who wish to collaborate on events, creates and implements a marketing strategy for the series, and gathers assessment information about the series.

The LNwE Executive Crew and series are supervised by the office of Health Promotion & Prevention Services. Being part of the LNwE Executive Crew will enable students to build leadership skills, enhance their communication skills, and provide them with program planning and management experience.

What types of social programs are planned?

The types of programs typically planned as part of the LNwE series are dance parties, movie nights, and interactive games; however, the students decide what each program should entail. Creativity lends itself to many ideas!
