Emily Salvas is the recipient of the 2011 School of The Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Undergraduate Award and maintained a 4.00 GPA. Emily pursued a rigorous program of academic study, and in addition to her many hours of teaching field experience, presented her research on the integration of dance in elementary education at national and international conferences. Emily has been recognized with numerous honors and scholarships, including the State University of New York’s ACT for Excellence Scholarship, the Volunteer of the Year Scholarship, the Brockport Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence Award, the Albert Brown Honors Scholarship, and Delta Kappa Gamma International Honors Society scholarships. She is a member of the Alpha Chi and Kappa Delta Pi honor societies.
