MPA Degree Requirements

To receive the MPA, students must fulfill the following requirements within a seven-year period from the time of matriculation into the program. Extensions are rare, but may be requested under extenuating circumstances.

  1. Complete 42 graduate credits.
  2. Complete PAD 696 Portfolio.
  3. Attain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (a grade of “B” or better). Failure to maintain this cumulative average will result in dismissal from the program.
  4. Two courses with a C grade or one course with an E grade will result in dismissal from the program. The Portfolio Seminar is graded pass/fail. One fail is allowed, however a second fail will result in dismissal.
  5. No course may be repeated, except for the Portfolio Seminar which may be repeated once.
  6. Apply for graduation at the registrar’s website at: http://www.brockport.edu/registrar/forms/applicationforgraduationnew.pdf .
