MPA Degree Requirements

To receive the MPA, students must fulfill the following requirements within a seven-year period from the time of matriculation into the program. Extensions are rare, but may be requested under extenuating circumstances.

  1. Complete 39 graduate credits.
  2. Complete PAD 696 Portfolio or PAD 694 Internship Experience.
  3. The Portfolio Seminar (696) and the Internship Experience (694) are graded Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory.
  4. The Department of Public Administration adheres to the College’s Academic Standing/Academic Probation Policy for Graduate Programs.
  5. Students may retake one course only in which they receive a grade of “C” or below.
  6. Apply for graduation following the instructions at the registrar’s website.
