The Collegewide
Marketing Manual and Style Guide

SUNY Brockport's image is stronger than ever, and much of that is attributable to consistent use of the College logotype, tagline (Expect the extraordinary!), Hartwell mark and our Garamond type face. Our "look" comes through in all of our advertisements, posters, brochures, postcards - you name it.

This Marketing Manual outlines the services of the Offices of Marketing Communications (MC) and Design & Production (D&P). If we've left something out or you have any questions or suggestions, please call Chris Florence, director of marketing communications, at x5160, or Richard Black, director of design & production, at x5162.

Our Style Guide closely follows the Associated Press Stylebook and is intended to be used as a reference for all promotional writing.

The stature and image of SUNY Brockport are reflected in the publications, advertisements, posters, postcards and other communication we put forth. Editorial content, design and timing are essential to successful pieces. Whether it's a simple flyer or a multi-page brochure you're looking for, this manual will guide you through the process.

The guidelines herein will help us help you in a timely, efficient and professional manner that benefits the College, and, ultimately, the students of SUNY Brockport.
