Schrank receives CSPA award

Marion Schrank, student affairs, was recently named the recipient of the Outstanding Contribution to the Profession Award by the College Student Personnel Association (CSPA).

CSPA annually recognizes one of its members for outstanding service or

significant contributions to the higher education profession. Schrank was honored as "a person who cares, doing what matters," and for "her vision, energy, determination and passion for her work."

Schrank, an alumna of SUNY Brockport, has

worked in the Division of Student Affairs at the College for 30 years. She is the recipient of many prestigious awards, including the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Professional Service.

Previous award recipients have included such national

figures in higher education as George Kuh and Gerald Saddlemire. Schrank, who served as president of CSPA in 1984-85, was also honored in 1986 with its award for Outstanding Service to the Association.
