Online Changes

To change an address and phone number online:

  • Go to www.brockport.edu
  • Click "Campus Information System (Banner)"
  • Log in to the system with your SS# or Banner ID and Pin
  • Click "Personal Information"
  • Then "Update Address(es) and Phone(s)"

Choose the address you wish to change. Click on "Current" for the address type you wish to change, then follow the instructions and fill in the fields with the new information. Please be sure to enter beginning and ending dates for any address change to ensure that the system has the most accurate information.

To change an email address online:

  • Go to www.brockport.edu
  • Sign on to Web mail as usual
  • Click "Options" from the top row
  • Click "Settings" (4th one down ) from the vertical choices at the left
  • Scroll down to "Mail forwarding" at the bottom
  • Click "Enable forwarding" to put a check mark in the box
  • Type the new email address in the empty box (below Enable forwarding)   
  • Click "Save Changes"

It is recommended that you do a test email first and send something to the new address after you've changed it to be sure it works. If not, you should go back and check for any typos, re-enter or correct the information, (click "Reset" next to "Save Changes"), and try it again. 

Student Change of Information Form

You may also use a Student Change of Information Form to change information on the college records. Print the Student Change of Information Form or stop by the Registration Office and obtain the form. Complete the form, with any required documentation, and submit it to Registration and Records for processing.

To request an Address Change (permanent and/or off campus address change):

  • Complete a Student Change of Information Form and submit it to Registration and Records for processing.
  • Please note: Residence Hall changes must be submitted to the Office of Residential Life, Hazen Hall, (585) 395-2122.

To request a Name Change:

  • Complete a Student Change of Information form.
  • Attach two (2) forms of appropriate documentation showing both the old and new name. One form of documentation must be a marriage certificate or a court order, the second, a photo ID.
  • Submit the form and copies of the required documents to the Office of Registration and Records for processing.

To request a Social Security Number Change:

  • Complete a Student Change of Information form.
  • Attach a copy of your social security card with the correct number.
  • Submit the form and copy to the Office of Registration and Records for processing.
