Why did you choose Residential Life?

Honestly I kind of fell into it when I was in Undergraduate School. I loved visiting my friends on campus and attended lots of building functions. I realized I really wanted to help students like the RAs did, so I became an RA. Once I became an RA I realized that what I enjoyed most doing everyday was my RA job. School was a necessity for me to be an RA, but the RA job was my passion.  Graduate School and Higher Education was the next natural progression. I like that each day is different than the last, and students need someone there after hours to be a resource.

What do you love about Brockport?

Brockport is close to my hometown. Brockport is small and welcoming and close enough to downtown Rochester where you don't feel isolated.

What's the best part of your job?

The students by far are the best part about my job. Making connections with students, whether it be helping them with an issue or just having a casual conversation can be very rewarding.

What's the best thing about your building?

Gordon has a huge game lounge that could really allow students to create their own activities.

What do you do for fun?

Board Games! I love Board Games! I really enjoy crafts (crochet, knit, make jewelry, etc.) and building things. I love to cook and bake. In the nice whether what I love most is riding my motorcycle (GSX-R 600)

Any advice for students?

Get involved on campus from day 1, it will make your experience while in college much more fulfilling. If you need help getting involved, seek out your RAs and RD, we'll help.

Most memorable program at Brockport :

I have attended many, but I really liked Sex Signals, Relay for Life, Vagina Monologues and watching the Spring Break Challenge unfold.
