Why did you choose to work in Residential Life? I started working in Res Life three years ago as a Resident Assistant. I wanted to become more involved on campus and I thought the RA job would be a great way to do so. I had such a great experience, I decided to apply for the Resident Director Intern position for my first year as a graduate student. I am now a full time resident director for freshmen students. |
What do you love about Brockport? The strong, inclusive community, location, size and wonderful students, staff and faculty. |
What's the best part of your job? Spending time to get to know the residents and providing experiences for the resident assistants to grow and reach their goals. |
What do you do for fun? I enjoy spending time with my family and friends who live nearby, baking, shopping, and watching movies. I consider myself active - I like to exercise and keep moving! |
Any advice for first year students? Take a risk and take advantage of the many opportunities to get involved on or off campus! Getting to know faculty and staff on campus will increase your chances of success and involvement which will help you in your future aspirations. |

Most memorable program at Brockport : There are so many to choose from...it just wouldn't be fair to single out one! A couple of my favorites are spa nights and the Clothesline Project. |
