Assessment & Continuous Improvement
Residential Life/Learning Communities at The College at Brockport is committed to improving program effectiveness and the quality of the student experience through assessment data. The use of assessment data will contribute to the culture of evidence within the department and campus community. We gather qualitative and quantitative data through various methods and tools (Assessment Structure- insert link). Residential Life/Learning Communities upholds and supports divisional and institutional goals and priorities related to assessment which can be found at: www.brockport.edu/emsa/assessment.

Academic Quality & Engagement
Retention data shows that 90% (149/166) of first year Living Learning Community students are registered for Fall 2011, not including study abroad or transfer. Two students are on Level 1 Academic Probation after the Spring 2011 semester.

A Culture of Philanthropy & Alumni Connectedness
More than 35% of Townhomes Residents participated in the 4th annual Townhome Trick or Treat, with about 50 faculty, staff, and community members and their children in attendance. Recreation Services collaborated to provide a costume contest.

Completion of Thompson rehab project, including the addition of a smart class room and the Central Residential Life Office located on the 1st floor – in addition, Thompson received the LEED- Gold Certification for the efforts in sustainability.
Upgrade to the card access system, providing a much more user-friendly system for our staff and students.
Renovation of the Briggs, Bramley, Perry, and Mortimer main lounges.
MacVicar Hall renovation project will be complete by August 2011.
New windows for Briggs and Bramley by August 2011.
