Scholars Day 2007, Wednesday, April 11

Safety Awareness in an Urban Setting

Safety awareness is often ignored until one becomes a victim of crime. Attending college in a downtown environment sometimes raises the issue of safety –parking, panhandling, walking from and to car, car break-ins, security guard escort and reporting of crimes or criminal activity. This presentation will offer tips on handling safety issues and what you can do to feel safe as you attend classes at SUNY Brockport MetroCenter. A panel of MetroCenter Safety Task Force members will discuss initiatives to raise safety awareness for users of the MetroCenter.
