K-12 teachers and students have collaborated to address difficult topics in their curricula that correspond to real-world problems. They have utilized various software programs to design models that simulate real-world problems, and allow them to comprehensively examine these topics. Modeling enables safe, inexpensive demonstration of concepts, prediction of outcomes, and modification of parameters to study problems from several aspects. It is suprising to see the many ways in which modeling is used, and with great success! Presenters will be challenge project winners of the CMST Program.
