Medical Doctors Practices Regarding Integrated Medicine

Complementary and Alternative Medicine [CAM] is on the rise in the United States and has the potential to significantly impact the future of conventional medicine. Medical doctors have to decide whether to use only conventional medicine, support the use of CAM without taking an active role, or practice integrated medicine (the combination of conventional medicine and CAM, coordinated by a conventional healthcare provider). This comprehensive literature review will explore the benefits and barriers to practicing integrated medicine.
