In response to the lavish and excessive disco culture the hardcore community answered back with romping boots and clenched fists. The music was aggressive and loud resulting in paralleled audience response. The relationship between audience and performer created a community exclusive to the hardcore scene. While it may appear that the scene is moving with unbridled disarray, there is a strong sense of organization and a set of unwritten rules. This presentation examines the movement created at hardcore shows through the lens of movement analysis.
