The Future of NATO

This presentation will analyze the future prospects for NATO as an international security organization. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, there has been debate about what the function of NATO is, seeing as how the threat for which the alliance was created has ceased to exist. Hence, this research project begins by looking at the role of NATO during the period of bipolarity between the two superpowers, then relates the changes and operations NATO is currently engaged in in the post Cold War Era, and concludes by investigating potential uses for this organization in the future.
