Construction of a Portable Parallel Computing Cluster

Parallel computing is an important component to modern large scale computing, but students frequently have difficulty visualizing the physical layout of a parallel computing cluster. Advances in technology have made it possible to construct a small, portable parallel cluster computer that can be taken to classrooms to assist students with their understanding of the physical makeup of a parallel cluster. A brief description and demonstration of one such cluster (the Little-FE) will be presented.
