Research has repeatedly shown that adding mental imagery of the performance of a sport to practice of that sport increases performance. This study will look at the effect imagery can have on strength gain when combined with a weight lifting regiment of the non-dominant arm. Participants will be split into two groups: one group uses weight lifting; the other group uses weightlifting with imagery. It is predicted that by the end of the study, participants who added mental imagery to their weight training will have an increase in strength.
