The venue, or environment, where hip-hop choreography is performed has significant impact on the movement being done. This presentation will explore the significance of how the context, or venue, in which the hip-hop movement is being performed changes the choreography, or movement. Some of the questions that will guide this presentation are what factors define the venue and how do these factors influence choreography or movement? What types of hip-hop works do choreographers create for varied venues (venues could be defined as a New York subway station performance, a concert dance stage, or a MTV video production)?
