As a service-learning experience, the four presenters worked as a team of account executives for a class public relations “agency” throughout the spring 2008 semester. With the Monroe County Bar Association as their client, they were responsible for developing a comprehensive PR campaign for the client’s Lawyers for Learning program. This presentation will cover the results of their research and how it influenced the final plan, setting goals and objectives, developing tactics to implement the program, and recommendations for evaluation. They will also show examples of the materials created for their client organization, including a video of students at School #29 in Rochester, where the MCBA’s Lawyers for Learning program is conducted. What they learned from this project and how the client organization has used components of the plan they developed will also be shared.
