In order to provide quality mental health care, practitioners throughout the health care system must be up-to-date on the most current research and treatment modalities within their filed of practice. Evidence-based practices (EBP) interventions with demonstrated research support, are quickly becoming a standard of care for social workers in practice settings. As participants in the Office of Mental Health and Social Work Consortium Evidence-Based Practice Seminar Course, five students will each present a poster of their topic and provide a presentation of their critical review of the research literature, how the research has been translated into an EBP model, and will suggest strategies for consumer monitoring and evaluation techniques within that specific model.
